Active and Passive EO Sensors: Modeling, Analysis, and Design

Logos is actively seeking scientists and engineers with experience in the modeling, analysis, design and development of active and passive electro-optical (EO) sensor systems used for reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition (RSTA) applications. Passive EO systems may be single or multi-band imaging systems covering the visible (VIS), near infra-red (NIR), and short-, mid-, or long-wave infrared (SWIR, MWIR, LWIR) portions of the spectrum. Active systems encompass scanned and focal plane imaging laser radar sensors that produce range images of the scene; and single-beam laser rangefinders, illuminators and target designators.
Logos seeks candidates with skills in modeling and analysis of:
- Overall sensor system performance (detection, recognition, confidence)
- Sensor components (focal planes, signal processing, optics)
- Target signatures and scene clutter
- Atmospheric propagation
Logos seeks candidates with the following experience and skill levels:

Senior Scientists with extensive experience in modeling, analysis, and design of active and passive EO sensor systems. Candidates should have advanced degrees in appropriate research areas and 5-8+ years of professional experience with active and passive EO sensor systems.

Scientists and engineers with experience in modeling, analysis, and design of active and passive EO sensor systems. Candidates should have undergraduate or advanced degrees in appropriate research areas and 3-5 years professional experience with active and passive EO sensor systems.

Recent science and/or engineering graduates (undergraduate or advanced), with academic experience related to active and passive EO sensor systems who would like to extend their skills in this field.
Candidates should have experience using appropriate modeling and analysis tools, e.g., MATLAB, IDL, C, atmospheric modeling systems, target and scene modeling tools, etc.
US Citizenship required
Active security clearance highly desirable
